Prior to joining Tufts, Dr. Yingjie Lao spent one year at Broadcom, Irvine. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in 2015. He earned his BS degree from Zhejiang University in 2009.
Research Interests: AI security and privacy, hardware security, cybersecurity, architecture and algorithms for signal processing and machine learning systems, IC design, homomorphic encryption, and robotics.

Kaiyuan Zhang received his bachelor's degree in Vehicle Engineering from HUNAN University in 2021 and his master's degree in Automotive Engineering from Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR) in 2023. He joined Tufts University in 2024 in pursuit of his Ph.D.
Research Interests: His current research interests include VLSI design related to Homomorphic Encryption and hardware security.

Sinuo Fan earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Western Michigan University in 2020 and a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Michigan State University in 2022. In 2024, Sinuo joined Tufts University to pursue a Ph.D.
Research Interests: AI-driven cybersecurity, LLM security on edge, machine learning.

Rui Chu is dedicating his research in designing Trustworthy, explainable and efficient Statistical Mechine Learning. Prior to starting his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Tufts University in 2023, Rui received his MS in Computer Engineering and MS in Data Science at Columbia University and University College London, and was a Data Pipeline Engineer at Tesla.
Research Interests: Mechine Learning, Linguisgics.

Nicole Meng's research focuses on Robust AI, Machine Learning, and Security. She graduated from Brandeis University in 2023 with a B.S. in Computer Science, a B.S. in Applied Mathematics, and a B.A. in Economics. Before joining Tufts, she worked as a full-stack software engineer on the Workforce Intelligence team at Pegasystems.
